3 Tips for Flower Arranging
Get the best out of your flower arrangements
Receiving flowers is always wonderful but the mindful act of carefully arranging them yourself is one of life’s great pleasures, if you ask us. Our Cornish-grown Selection Boxes are the perfect gift for a green-fingered friend or as a treat to yourself (hey, you deserve it).
Fantastic for tablescapes, mantelpieces or anywhere you want to add some joy, here are 3 tips on how to get the best out of them:
- Use vases in a variety of different shapes and sizes – narrow necks work best as they give the best support to flower stems.
- Use 2- 3 stems per vase and cut the flower stems to varying heights – this gives each flower space to bloom while creating points of interest at different levels.
- Re-cut your stems and freshen the water every 2 -3 days, removing any dead heads if necessary – some flowers have side shoots which will bloom once the main flower has finished.
